SK: Bern ležiaci na rieke Aare ma chytil za srdce už po prvej návšteve. Preto som sa ho rozhodla navštíviť aj tento rok. Dôvodom je jeho stredoveká atmosféra, historické pamiatky, netypické pivničné reštaurácie, ako aj malé zastrčené butiky. Symbolom Bernu je medveď, po ktorom dostalo mesto názov. Ten si spoločne s ostatnými troma nažíva v medveďom parku Bärengraben. Byť v Berne a nepozrieť si Zytglogge-stredoveké vežové hodiny, ktoré sú známe pohyblivými bábkami, by bol naozaj hriech. Sú do detailov prepracované. “Šopoholičky” si tiež prídu na svoje. Bern sa totiž môže pochváliť i jednou zo šiestich najdlhších krytých obchodných promenád v Európe. Určite zájdite i pred Federálny palác, kde sa nachádza sada fontán. Ak máte guráž, skúste foto pod tečúcimi fontánami. Je to celkom sranda:) A ak dostanete chuť na niečo sladké Lolipop 1st Candy Shop bude tou správnou voľbou. Nájdete tam nielen rôzne sladkosti, ale i skvelé retro kúsky. Ja osobne som si odtiaľ odniesla plagát s motívom starého kalifornského autobusu:) A to všetko v pohodlných Burnetie teniskách.
Ubytovanie: bývali sme v hosteli Bern BE Youth Hostel, ktorý sa nachádza blízko centra. Hostel je štandardný. My sme bývali v jednej izbe s dvomi poschodovými posteľami. Kúpelňa bola na chodbe. Internet pripojenie v izbe bolo dosť slabé, avšak v jedálni bolo dobré. Raňajky boli pestré( hrianky, maslo, lekváre, šunka, syr, jogurty, musli, káva, džús alebo voda, ale i ovocie). Výhodou je terasa, kde je možnosť večer posedieť s priateľmi. Odporúčam tento hostel v prípade, že potrebujete niekoľko dní niekde prespať. Cena: 33 eur na osobu vrátane raňajok.

EN: Bern that lies on Aare river caught my heart when I visited it for the first time. That is why I decided to come back this year too. The reason is its mediaeval atmosphere, historical monuments, unusual cellar restaurants as well as small hidden boutiques. The symbol of Bern is a bear that city is named after. The bear together with rest of the other 3 bears live in bear park called Bärengraben. To be in Bern and not see Zytglogge-mediaeval tower clock that is very famous because of moving dolls would be a really fault. Its really over-elaborate. The “shopaholics” will also find something interesting because Bern owns one of 6 the longest covered selling promenade in Europe. For sure walk to Federal palace where you can find a set of fountains. If you are brave enough try to take a picture of yourself under the running water. Its kind of fun:) And if you like sweets then the perfect place for you is Lolipop 1st Candy Shop. You can find there not only various sweets but also great retro pieces. I personally bought poster with old Californian bus. And all of it in Burnetie trainers.
Accomodation: we lived in Bern BE Youth Hostel which was located close to the centre. Hostel is regular. We had one room with 2 bunk beds. The bathroom was shared. Wifi was kind of low in room but if you go to dining-room its good. Breakfast was various ( toasts, butter, jams, ham and cheese, yoghurts, musli, coffee, juice or water, also fruits). What is an advantage is teracce where you can sit in the evening with your friends. I recommend this hostel for few nights when you need only place to stay during a night. Cost: 33 eur/person included breakfast.
